According to the 2011 census of India we can find the worst child sex ratio ever, after India became independent. The child sex ratio of India stands at 914. And what exactly does this mean? Indian's are still preferring male child over the female child. Does female foeticide, abortion etc... exist? It is really a question worth asking.
so what can we do?
India still lags behind in basic education and health facilities, and there lies the solution too Educate the masses and provide them good health facilities. Educating the girl child is very important too.

Those parents who prefer male child should remember one thing. A child, whether it is male or female, is born out of a sexual bond between a father and mother and not between two fathers.
ReplyDeleteAsk those mothers and mother-in-laws who demand the birth of (only) male children in their families "if your parents preferred only a boy and didn't want a girl child, you wouldn't have taken birth".
I think even if the illiterates go on adding to the members in the family seeking a male child, it is far better than killing female fetus. If we allow this trend to continue, we'll have to import girls or export ourselves to get a life partner, though it is a too remote possibility....
